LupE.N.D.
As a consolidation to his fans, Lupe Fiasco’s last album will be a set of 3 full length disks. Due to the time it takes to compile such a body of work it has been pushed back to the middle or end of 2009. Get your Fiasco fix in the meantime with a live CD/DVD featuring a performance in Chicago on the 31st of October, slated for release within the next few months.
808s & Heartbreak
Scheduled to hit stores on the 25th of November, Kanye West’s fourth retail outing will be sung using the Auto-Tune effect. Continuing his rivalry, the album is slated to compete against the Before I Self Destruct project. Nevertheless, Yeezy has such a powerful mainstream appeal that he can “breathe on a track and make money” while Fiddy can barely “Get Up” among his own fans.
Universal Mind Control
Pushed back countless times and (hopefully) benefiting from numerous reworkings, Common’s latest will hit the shelves on the 9th of December. Closet Soulja Boy listeners and mindless G-uNOT stans are planning to crawl out of their mom’s basement to cop the previously mentioned Curtis prank (it’s going to be a joke, trust me) on the same day. Yet, production by Pharrell and Kanye West is certain to grab the attention of the more conscience and less dumbed down.
